TWINPLAST
CONTINUES TO LEAD THE PACK WITH RETURNABLE PACKAGING
Twinplast
remains at the forefront of the expanding market for multi-trip
returnable packaging products.
The
Watford-based manufacturer of plastic corrugated packing products
has kept pace with both exacting EU and national packaging waste
standards and increased demand from specifiers for versatile, cost-effective
and environmentally aware packaging solutions.
Since
being launched earlier this year a growing number of companies are
using Twinplast Transits. The innovative packaging, that has a lifespan
of at least 100 trips, is being used for the packaging and transportation
of a wide range of products including car components, electrical
products and fresh and pre-packed foods.
Twinplast's
reputation as an industry leader in the development of environmental
products and processes was recognised when it was awarded the international
BS EN ISO 14001 standard, one of the smallest companies to achieve
the rigorous environmental benchmark.
With
the packaging industry undergoing enormous change due to the far-reaching
implications of environmental legislation, the award means Twinplast
has demonstrated its commitment to staying at the cutting edge of
developing high quality packaging that complies with customer and
environmental demands.
In
the new climate, Twinplast is demonstrating obvious advantages when
compared to cardboard with its limited lifespan and high waste volumes.
Twinplast Transits are totally recyclable and reduce the liability
of companies under the Packing Waste Directive.
At
the end of their useful life, Twinplast encourages customers to
return used transit boxes for reprocessing into material that can
be used again for packaging applications. The many other benefits
of Twinplast Transits include their smart appearance and ease of
assembly, combined with strength and durability. The lightweight
boxes can then be flat packed for multiple return journeys.
When
there is a need for reinforced transit boxes Twinplast can supply
a lightweight alternative to rigid plastic. The Twinplast range
includes plastic corner components providing the strength of a rigid
plastic box without the associated increase in weight and cost.
The
boxes can then be easily stacked with open tops, with dividers for
components if required.
Twinplast
Transits are tailored to customers' individual specifications and
are available in an infinite variety of configurations to keep products
safe from damage during delivery and storage, whilst looking good
on display. Unlike plastic injection mouldings, production runs
can be as low as 100 and still be economically viable.
