TWINPLAST
MULTI-TRIP PACKAGING PROVIDES COLOURFUL EXTRA BENEFITS FOR STORAGE
AND STOCK CONTROL
A
recently developed multi-trip packaging product is proving its worth
- not only in transit but also in storage - and attracting considerable
interest within the retail industry.
Twinplast
Transits are manufactured by Watford-based company Twinplast Ltd,
who now lead the field in the development of environmentally aware
re-usable packaging products manufactured from plastic corrugated
board.
The
development means that Twinplast multi-trip boxes can be stacked
using plastic corner components which impart the strength of a rigid
plastic box, without the associated increase in weight and cost.
Twinplast's
Managing Director David Holliday commented: "Our retailer customers
tell us that their stores and sales staff who are not used to lifting
heavy boxes find that Twinplast cases or trays loaded with products
are much easier and lighter to handle than rigid plastic. This lessens
the risk of injury, for instance when removing from and returning
to shelving. Conventional rigid boxes often find themselves stacked
on shop storeroom floors with attendant risks of product damage."
"Additionally,
Twinplast Transits are available in a range of colours to aid product
identification when on the shelf, and clear pockets or label holders
can be incorporated to carry documentation."
Twinplast
Transits can be manufactured to meet specific configurations with
runs as low as 100.
